About

The source of the name Bereans is derived from the book of the Acts of the Apostles.

Acts 17:11
11 Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.

The objective of the bible study is to equip believers for ministry and maturity in Christ as stated in 2nd Timothy 2:15
15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.

“Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. As a result, many of them believed, as did also a number of prominent Greek women and many Greek men.”

Like the Bereans, we should filter each and every idea that comes our way through the Scriptures to discover the truth. Have you ever seen a false statistic or story or statement circulate through social media because people didn’t stop to verify its accuracy before sharing it with others?

Have you ever been the subject of a rumor that isn’t true? Have you seen false teachings accepted as truths in a classroom or a church? We cannot be people who blindly believe whatever we are told. We must compare it to what God has to say.

We hope that you listen with ears that are ready to hear the truth today!
